Philadelphia Man Charged with Armed Bank Robbery

United States Attorney Michael L. Levy announced the filing of a two-count indictment charging Christopher Harley with the armed bank robbery of the Citizens Bank, 1735 Market Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on January 31, 2009. The indictment charges that Harley discharged a firearm while attempting to escape the robbery.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Upon conviction, Harley faces a maximum sentence of 25 years, with a mandatory minimum of 10 years’ imprisonment to be served consecutively to any sentence imposed on the underlying robbery charges, five years supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.
