Robbery of the Harleysville National Bank

FBI Philadelphia June 30, 2009

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the Harleysville National Bank branch located at 9869 Bustleton Avenue in Philadelphia earlier today.

At approximately 1:35 p.m., an unidentified male entered the branch and presented a threatening demand note to a teller. The subject is described as a white male in his 40vs, 5’7” to 5’9” tall, medium build, clean shaven, wearing a blue bandanna on his head, a grey short-sleeved crew neck T-shirt with a pocket on the left chest, light-colored blue jeans, and sandals.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash the subject fled in an unknown direction on foot. There were no injuries.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to the identification and apprehension of this subject. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
