Milton Man Federally Sentenced for Role in Drug Distribution Organization

Dennis C. Pfannenschmidt, United States Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced today that a former Milton resident was sentenced in federal court earlier this week for his involvement in a crack cocaine trafficking ring distributing drugs to the Northumberland and Sunbury areas.

Corey Crabb, age 23, of Milton, Pennsylvania, was sentenced earlier this week by United States District Court Judge John E. Jones, III, to a 96-month term of imprisonment and four years of supervised release. Crabb was convicted on April 13, 2009, of conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine following a jury trial.

According to U.S. Attorney Pfannenschmidt, Crabb was among nine individuals who were indicted in December 2007, on criminal charges for the distribution of crack cocaine and criminal conspiracy. The other defendants include:

Zabula Budia Knuckes: sentenced to 120 months’ imprisonment and five years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of crack cocaine.

Renita Denise Morris: sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment and one year of supervised release for the use of a communication facility to facilitating drug felonies.

Angela Bell Walter: sentenced to 48 months’ imprisonment and one year of supervised release for the use of a communication facility to facilitate drug felonies.

Hasson Kareem Lindsey: sentencing scheduled for March 16, 2010.

Jessica Walter: sentenced to 12 months and one day of imprisonment and two years of supervised release for the unlawful transportation of firearms.

Jarae Aaron Lindsey: sentenced to 24 months’ imprisonment and one year of supervised release for the interstate travel to facilitate a conspiracy to distribute and possess wit intent to distribute cocaine.

Eric Rasheen Lindsey: sentenced to 48 months’ imprisonment and one year of supervised release for the use of a communication facility to facilitate drug felonies.

Alma Lindsey: sentenced to 152 months’ imprisonment and four years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute in excess of 50 grams of crack cocaine, distribution and possession with intent to distribute in excess of five grams of crack cocaine, fraud and related activities in connection with identification documents, and criminal forfeiture.

Merle Oran Zeigler, Jr.: died pending trial and indictment subsequently dismissed.

According to U.S. Attorney Pfannenschmidt, these defendants have received prison terms which total, in aggregate, approximately 518 months’ imprisonment.

U.S. Attorney Pfannenschmidt praised the work of the law enforcement agencies involved for their hard work and dedication.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Philadelphia Division, Williamsport Resident Agency; Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Troop F Montoursville, Vice and Narcotics Unit; and the United States Postal Inspection Service, Philadelphia Division and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney George J. Rocktashel.
