  • Northern District of Iowa (319) 363-6333

Roxena Lee Schoon, age 39, from Wall Lake, Iowa, has been charged with one count of bank robbery. The charges are contained in a complaint filed on June 5, 2012, in United States District Court in Sioux City.

The complaint alleges that, on or about March 23, 2012, Schoon robbed the Heritage Bank in Lytton, Iowa.

If convicted, Schoon faces a possible maximum sentence of 20 years’ imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, a $100 special assessment, and three years of supervised release following any imprisonment.

Schoon appeared on June 5, 2012 in federal court in Sioux City and was held without bond. Schoon’s next appearance for a preliminary hearing is set for June 19, 2012.

As with any criminal case, a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Forde Fairchild and was investigated by special agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Sac County Sheriff’s Office.
