Winnebago Man Charged with Assault

United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg and the Federal Bureau of Investigation announce the following information for the attention of the media:

Event triggering this release:

On April 20, 2011, a United States District Court jury convicted Kenneth Lonewolf, age 21, of assault causing serious bodily injury. His sentencing is set for August 9, 2011. On 11/14/2010, Kenneth Lonewolf became intoxicated and belligerent and was asked to leave a residence in Winnebago, Nebraska. As a 17-year-old male and a witness were walking Lonewolf off the property and toward his home, Lonewolf exchanged words with witnesses and then punched the male in the face, causing nasal fractures and fractures to the medial wall and floor of the left eye orbit.
