Illinois Man Charged in Armored Car Robbery

DAVENPORT—On April 1, 2010, James T. Hohlfeld, age 25, from Moline, Illinois was charged by criminal complaint and arrested for bank theft. Hohlfeld is charged with the March 19, 2010, theft from an armored car in Davenport of federally insured funds belonging to US Bank. Hohlfeld made his initial appearance at the Davenport Courthouse and was ordered detained by the U.S. Marshals Service pending a detention hearing on April 5, 2010.
A co-defendant, Dylan Trones, was also arrested in Wisconsin and made his initial appearance today in federal court in Madison, Wisconsin.
This arrest was the result of multi-district investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Iowa and Wisconsin and local authorities.
Members of the public are reminded that the indictment only contains charges. The defendant is presumed innocent of the charges and it will be the government’s burden to prove the defendant’s guilt at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.
