23-Year-Old Omaha Man Sentenced for Robbing Post Office

United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg, The Lincoln Police Department, Lancaster county Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation announce the following information for the attention of the media:
Event Triggering this Release:
A federal jury returned a guilty verdict against Jonair Tyreece Moore on Tuesday, December 15, 2009. During the trial, which began December 7, 2009, the government presented a number of witnesses who testified to conspiring with Moore to distribute cocaine and 50 grams or more of crack cocaine in Nebraska. The Honorable Warren K. Urbom, United States Senior District Judge, ordered Moore detained until sentencing.
Witnesses testified to buying cocaine from Moore which was converted into crack. Other witnesses recounted multiple purchases of crack cocaine from Moore in amounts that ranged from a quarter of an ounce to multiple ounces at a time. YouTube videos of the defendant performing rap music during which he referenced his association with cocaine and drugs, were also submitted into evidence for the jury’s consideration. Sentencing is set for March 9, 2010.
