Carlos Loverboy Silva Sentenced 14 Years for Conspiring to Distribute Crack Cocaine

United States Attorney Joe W. Stecher and the Lincoln Police Department, Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation announce the following information for the attention of the media:

Event Triggering this Release:
The Honorable Richard G. Kopf, United States District Judge for the District of Nebraska, sentenced Carlos Loverboy Silva to 14 years in federal prison for his role in conspiring to distribute crack cocaine in the Lincoln area. Silva bought and sold up to three ounces of crack at a time. Following completion of his prison term, Silva is ordered to serve five years on supervised release.

AKA: Little Carlos

Age: 22

City of residence: Lincoln

Crime(s) Charged and Potential Penalty (A CHARGE is merely an accusation and every defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty):

Conspiracy to distribute cocaine and 50 grams or more of crack (cocaine base) 10 years to life in prison, and/or up to $4,000,000 fine. Not less than five years supervised release, $100 special assessment fee.
