Robbery Bank of the West Branch in Oklahoma City

James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Oklahoma City Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, announced the robbery of the Bank of the West branch at 5603 N Pennsylvania Avenue in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

At approximately 10:26 a.m. on August 29, an unidentified male entered the bank and displayed a demand note to a teller. The subject implied that he had a gun; however, no weapon was seen. The teller complied with the demand, and the subject left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured in this robbery.

Surveillance photos and witness descriptions depict the subject as follows:

Subject: Black male, mid-20s, 5’9” to 5’10” tall, approximately 150 pounds, small to medium build, and wearing a large black jacket, red shirt with horizontal white stripes, blue jeans, dark aviator-style sunglasses, red and white tennis shoes, and a black baseball style cap with white writing across the front and a flat red bill.

 

 

 

This robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Oklahoma City Police Department. Anyone with information is requested to contact the FBI at (405) 290-7770 (24-hour number). Callers may remain anonymous. The Oklahoma Bankers Association offers a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for robbing a member bank.
