Robbery of Republic Bank and Trust Branch in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Oklahoma City Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, announced the robbery of the Republic Bank and Trust located at 11801 S. Western, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

At approximately 8:55 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014, an unidentified white male entered the bank wearing a red ski mask and dark sunglasses. The subject approached a teller and stated, “Give me the money.” The teller complied and placed an undisclosed amount of money into a white plastic Wal-Mart bag provided by the subject. No weapon was observed.

The subject was last seen on foot heading south from the bank. No one was injured in today’s robbery.

Surveillance photos and witness descriptions depict the subject as follows:

Subject: White male with a pale complexion, late 20s to early 30s, 6’ tall, 180 lbs., medium build, wearing a dark jacket, blue jeans, red ski mask, and dark sunglasses.




This robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Oklahoma City Police Department. Anyone with information is requested to contact the FBI at (405) 290-7770 (24-hour number). Callers may remain anonymous. The Oklahoma Bankers Association offers a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for robbing a member bank.
