Robbery of IBC Bank Branch in Oklahoma City

James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Oklahoma City Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, announced the robbery of the IBC Bank branch 5701 N. May Ave. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

At approximately 12:20 p.m. on May 14, an unknown female entered the bank and approached the teller counter where she threatened a teller and demanded money. The subject handed the teller a white and black bag and instructed the teller to put the money in it. The teller complied and the subject left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. No weapon was observed.

The subject was last seen leaving the bank northbound on May Ave. in a white, four-door sedan. No one was injured in the robbery.

Surveillance photos and witness descriptions depict the subject as follows:

  • Black female with a medium complexion
  • Early 20s
  • 5’3” tall
  • 140 pounds
  • Wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt with the words “Oklahoma City” written across the front in white letters, a dark- and light-colored baseball-style cap, dark rimmed prescription-style glasses, gray pants, and dark shoes

    

This robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Oklahoma City Police Department. Anyone with information is requested to contact the FBI at (405) 290-7770 (24-hour number). Callers may remain anonymous. The Oklahoma Bankers Association offers a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for robbing a member bank.
