Robbery of First Fidelity Bank Branch in Oklahoma City

James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Oklahoma City Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, announced the robbery of the First Fidelity Bank at 10904 N. May Ave. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

At approximately 9:40 a.m. on May 21, an unknown male entered the bank and approached the teller counter and handed the teller a demand note. Without saying anything, the subject opened his suit jacket to show the teller a black semi-automatic pistol he had tucked in the waistband of his pants. The teller complied, and the subject left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The subject departed through the front door and was last seen walking toward the rear of the bank. No one was injured in the robbery.

Surveillance photos and witness descriptions depict the subject as follows: black male, mid-30s, 5’7" to 5’9” tall, 180 pounds, thin build, mustache and goatee, and shoulder-length dreadlocks and wearing a gray suit coat with white pinstripes, dark pants, dark shoes, a white baseball-style cap with the word Puma and the Puma logo on the left front side, black plastic sunglasses, and a black semi-automatic pistol tucked in the waistband of his pants.

This robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Oklahoma City Police Department. Anyone with information is requested to contact the FBI at (405)290-7770 (24-hour number). Callers may remain anonymous. The Oklahoma Bankers Association offers a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for robbing a member bank.
