Arrest Made in Weokie Federal Credit Union Robbery

OKLAHOMA CITY—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Oklahoma City Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), announced the arrest of Dwight Earl Jordan, age 33, of Moore, Oklahoma, on charges related to the robbery of the Weokie Federal Credit Union.

At approximately 3:27 p.m. yesterday, the Weokie Federal Credit Union located at 7600 S. Pennsylvania Avenue in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was robbed. Investigation subsequent to the robbery identified Dwight Earl Jordan as the individual responsible for the robbery. Further investigation revealed Jordan was taken into custody last night at approximately 9:30 p.m. by Cleveland County Sheriff’s Deputies on unrelated charges and was being held at the Cleveland County Jail in Norman, Oklahoma. At approximately 3:30 p.m. this afternoon, Jordan was taken into custody by FBI agents at the Cleveland County Jail on federal bank robbery charges. Jordan was transported to the Grady County Jail where he will be held pending an initial appearance in federal court.

This investigation was worked by the Oklahoma City Police Department and the FBI. The public is reminded an arrest is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
