Robbery of First Commercial Bank Branch in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, announced the robbery of the First Commercial Bank, 3131 South Shields, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

At approximately 11:54 this morning, an unknown male entered the bank, approached the teller and asked about opening a bank account. While talking to the teller, the robber leaned further into the teller counter and stated, “Do me a favor, open your drawer and give me your money.” The robber kept his hands under his shirt. The teller complied with the robber’s demand and gave him an undisclosed amount of cash. The robber gathered the money with one hand and left the bank on foot. No weapon was seen and no one was injured in today’s robbery.

The robber was described as a white male approximately 45 to 50 years of age, 5’5” to 5’6” in height, and he had a thin build. The robber had long, salt and pepper colored hair that was gathered in a ponytail and a salt and pepper colored two-day growth beard. He wore a long sleeve black t-shirt and an orange baseball-style cap with an unknown logo on the front of the cap.

The robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Oklahoma City Police Department.
