Robbery of Bank of Oklahoma Branch in Midwest City

OKLAHOMA CITY—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, announced the robbery of the Bank of Oklahoma, 1500 South Midwest Boulevard, Midwest City, Oklahoma.

At approximately 12:21 this afternoon, an unknown male entered the bank, presented a note, and demanded money. The note stated, “Give me the money in the drawer. I have a bomb.” The teller complied with the robber’s demand. The robber took the money and was last seen leaving the bank through the west exit doors. No weapon or explosive was seen and no one was injured in today’s robbery.

The robber was described as a white male in his mid to late 50s, approximately 5’10” to 5’11” in height, and weighing approximately 160 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, glasses, and scruffy beard.

The robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Midwest City Police Department.
