Seeking Information on Bank Robbery in Ardmore

OKLAHOMA CITY—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, announces the robbery of the First National Bank and Trust Company of Ardmore, 1226 West Broadway, Ardmore, Oklahoma.

At approximately 10:00 this morning, a white male entered the bank and verbally demanded large bills of U.S. currency. The bank employee paused and the robber lifted his shirt showing the teller a pistol in his waistband. The bank employee complied with the demand and the robber left the bank with undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. Witnesses saw the robber leave the bank area in a black pickup truck. No one was injured in today’s robbery.

The robber was described as a white male, approximately late 20s to early 30s in age and 5’8” to 5’10” in height. He wore a blue and tan cowboy-style shirt, light blue jeans, a brown cowboy hat with the sides rolled up, and eyeglasses. The pistol was a semi-automatic and it was black in color.

The robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Ardmore Police Department.
