OKLAHOMA CITY—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, announced the robbery of the Bank of the West, 5401 N.W. 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

At approximately 9:25 a.m. this morning, an armed black male entered the bank and demanded money. The robber stated “give me the money. No funny money and no dye packs.“ The robber brandished a black, semi-automatic pistol and witnesses described the robber as being dressed like a female. The robber gathered an undetermined amount of U.S. currency and exited the bank. The robber was last seen traveling east on N.W. 23rd on foot.

The robber was described as a black male approximately 6’2” in height and weighing approximately 180 pounds. The robber wore a surgical mask over his mouth, a white in color zip-up style hoodie jacket with a design on it, a black shirt underneath the hoodie, blue jeans and black shoes. The robber appeared to be wearing a wig and used a black purse to collect the money. Witnesses believed the surgical mask may have been used to hide some skin discoloration around the robber’s mouth.
