OKLAHOMA CITY—Today, CARLOS FLORES, 30, of Oklahoma City, was sentenced by United States District Judge David L. Russell to serve 240 months in federal prison for downloading child pornography, announced Sanford C. Coats, United States Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma.

Flores pled guilty in September 2010, and admitted that he downloaded a child pornography video pertaining to the rape of a 6-year-old girl. At the sentencing hearing today, Judge Russell took into consideration evidence that Flores had molested three elementary school aged girls before ordering that Flores serve 20 years in federal prison, the maximum allowed by law. In addition, Flores will serve the remainder of his life on supervised release and must register as a sex offender upon his release from prison.

This case was the result of an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Oklahoma City Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Brandon Hale.
