Federal Grand Jury Indictments: April 2011

MUSKOGEE, OK—The United States Attorney’s Office announced today the results of the April 2011 federal grand jury.

The following named individuals have been charged with a federal crime or crimes by the return of an indictment by the grand jury. A grand jury indictment does not constitute evidence of guilt. A grand jury indictment is a method of bringing formal charges against the defendant. A defendant is presumed innocent of the charges and may not be found guilty unless evidence establishes guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Statutory maximum punishments are in parentheses. United States Sentencing Guidelines may be considered, upon conviction, by the sentencing court. Federal prison sentences are non-parolable.

CHRISTINA LEE DAVIDSON, age 30, of Bokchito, Oklahoma

Embezzlement and Theft from an Indian Tribal Organization

On or about July 27, 2010, and continuing until on or about September 15, 2010, within the Eastern District of Oklahoma, CHRISTINA LEE DAVIDSON, did embezzle, steal, and willfully and knowingly convert to her own use, moneys, funds, and credits, in excess of $1,000.00, belonging to the Choctaw Nation, an Indian tribal organization.

The charge arose from an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Choctaw Nation Tribal Police. The charges are in violation Title 18, United States Code, Section 1163 and are punishable by up to five years' imprisonment and/or up to a $250,000.00 fine.

RONALD DEAN SCOTT, age 45, of Ada, Oklahoma

Embezzlement and Theft from an Indian Tribal Organization

The indictment alleges that In or about December, 2009, and continuing until on or about June 11, 2010, within the Eastern District of Oklahoma, RONALD DEAN SCOTT, defendant, did embezzle, steal, and willfully and knowingly convert to his own use, moneys, funds, credits, goods, assets, or other property valued in excess of $1,000.00, belonging to the Chickasaw Nation, an Indian tribal organization.

The charge arose from an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Chickasaw Lighthorse Police Department. The charge is in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 1163 and 2. and is punishable by not more than five years' imprisonment, and/or up to a $250,000 fine.

RICARDO CORTEZ THOMPSON, age 49, of Ada, Oklahoma

Public Money, Property or Records

The indictment alleges that beginning in or about January, 2007, and continuing until in or about October, 2009, within the Eastern District of Oklahoma, RICARDO CORTEZ THOMPSON, the defendant herein, did willfully and knowingly steal and convert to his own use money belonging to the United States in the amount of $1,000.00 or more.

The charge arose from an investigation by the Social Security Administration, Office of Inspector General. The charge is in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 641 and is punishable by not more than 10 years' imprisonment, and/or up to a $250,000 fine.
