Oklahoma City Man Charged with Bank Robbery and Bank Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, announced the solution of two recent bank robberies.
On May 20, 2009, Bank of Oklahoma, 4129 SE 29th Street , Del City, Oklahoma, was robbed by an individual who provided a demand note.
On May 23, 2009, Bank of America, 3501 N. MacArthur, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was robbed by an individual armed with a knife. Jimmy L. Starks, 29, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was identified as a suspect in both robberies. Today, Starks was charged with the violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2113(a), Bank Robbery, and Section 2113(a) & (d), Bank Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.
The investigation is being conducted by the FBI and Oklahoma City Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office, Western District of Oklahoma.
Starks is presently in custody for unrelated attempted robbery charges.
