Robbery of Bank of America

FBI Oklahoma City August 05, 2009
  • Special Agent Terry B. Weber (405) 290-3614

Below are photographs taken from this afternoon’s robbery of Bank of America, 211 N. Robinson, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The robbery occurred at 3:26 p.m.

The bank was robbed by a white male, 5’8” to 5’9”, heavy set, 250 lbs., in his late 60’s, with a large gray beard, shoulder length gray hair, wearing a red ball cap, light blue t-shirt, blue jeans, and thick prescription eyeglasses. He transported the money in a black satchel. He used a note created from a typewriter which stated that he had put a bomb in the building that he would set off if money was not provided and if law enforcement was called before a set period of time. No device or suspicious packages were found.

He was last seen walking between two high rise buildings directly south of the bank. No one was injured.

If anyone has any information, please contact the FBI at (405) 290-7770. It is being investigated by the FBI and OCPD.

A reward of up to $2000 is being offered by the Oklahoma Bankers Association.
