Eakly Bank Robber Arrested

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, announced the arrest of Robert Gene Pigg, Jr., 26, of Hydro, Oklahoma, related to yesterday’s robbery of Bank of Hydro, Eakly, Oklahoma.
Based on a tip provided to Hydro Police Department, Robert Gene Pigg, Jr., was identified as a suspect in the robbery. Today at 5:00 p.m., Pigg was arrested without incident in Hydro by Hydro Police Officers, Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the FBI.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI, Hydro Police Department, Eakly Police Department, Caddo County Sheriff’s Office and Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Pigg faces Federal Bank Robbery charges. The case is being prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office, Western District of Oklahoma.
For information, yesterday at approximately 1:30 p.m., a white male wearing a mask and armed with a rifle entered the Bank of Hydro, 414 W. Main, Eakly, Oklahoma. The robber pointed a rifle at bank employees and demanded money. He was last seen in a white truck northwest of Eakly.
