Stillwater Bank Robber Arrested

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, announced the arrest Ricky Dean Turner, Jr., 23, related to the November 29, 2008, robbery of IBC Bank, 1900 N. Perkins Road, Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Based on a tip provided to the FBI, Turner was identified as a suspect of the November 29, 2008, robbery of IBC Bank, 1900 N. Perkins Road, Stillwater, Oklahoma.
On December 20, 2008, an armed robbery warrant was issued out of Payne County for Ricky Dean Turner related to the bank robbery.
At approximately 4:00 a.m. this morning, Turner turned himself into Ardmore Police Department and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol after fleeing on foot from a car accident in which he was involved in Ardmore.
Turner is being held in the Carter County Jail and faces Federal Bank Robbery charges tomorrow.
The investigation is being conducted by the FBI and Stillwater Police Department, and is being prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office, Western District of Oklahoma.
On November 29, 2008, the IBC Bank in Stillwater was robbed by a white male armed with a hunting knife. The robber was believed to have fled in a white Ford Taurus.
