Norfolk FBI to Hold Seminar at Norfolk State University

The Norfolk FBI and its partners will present a Fraud Seminar at Norfolk State University, 700 Park Avenue, Norfolk, Virginia, on September 12, 2012. The event will be held at the Student Center, Room 149, from 9 a.m. to noon. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The seminar is designed to educate students and the community on a variety of topics, including:

  • Internet scams
  • Romance scams
  • Financially motivated crimes
  • How to work for the FBI

The Fraud Seminar is free and open to the public. Community members are encouraged to attend and learn ways to protect themselves from existing Internet threats and learn about FBI recruitment opportunities.

All pre-registered attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion from the FBI at the end of the seminar. To register, please call NSU Events Staff at (757) 823-2987 or e-mail bimurphy@nsu.edu.
