Suspect Arrested After Allegedly Robbing Two New York Banks

Early this morning, Burchard Bertrand was arrested without incident by FBI agents and NYPD detectives at his apartment in Ozone Park, New York, for allegedly robbing two New York-area banks. He was being sought by the FBI for allegedly robbing a Chase Bank branch at 96-19 101st Avenue in Ozone Park on December 23, 2011, and another Chase Bank branch at 391 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn on January 3, 2012.

He will be arraigned later today in federal court in the Eastern District of New York on federal bank robbery charges.
