FBI Seeks Public’s Assistance in Identifying Armed Robber

On Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at approximately 11:42 a.m. a Capital One Bank located at 144 8th Avenue, New York, NY was robbed by an armed gunman. This is the 22nd armed robbery of 2010 in New York City.

The New York Office of the FBI is currently looking for a Hispanic male, approximately 6’ to 6’2’’ tall, 190 to 200 pounds, mid 30s, with slight facial hair. The individual was seen wearing a dark winter coat, black gloves, black hat, and glasses.

"These are clear pictures and can help identify this individual. We request anyone with information about this man to call the FBI at 212-384-1000 or their local police. Tips from the public are crucial in helping us apprehend suspects” said Special Agent Richard Kolko. “As always, there is a cash reward for information leading to this individual’s arrest and anyone who submits a tip may remain anonymous.”

The robbery is being investigated by the Joint Bank Robbery Task Force, which is comprised of FBI agents and NYPD detectives. Operating since 1979, it is the longest continually operating task force in the New York Office and investigates major violent crime.
