The FBI’s New York Field Office is proud to announce that eight of its employees, three Assistant U.S. Attorneys, and one private citizen received Director’s Awards for Excellence today at the 19th Annual Director’s Award Ceremony in Washington, D.C. These awards offer the Director and other FBI officials the opportunity to recognize Bureau employees and others who make positive contributions to the community for their outstanding contributions and exceptional service to the FBI and its mission. There are 20 categories for awards. The Director’s Award is considered the most prestigious within the FBI and serves as a highlight to anyone’s career.
There are four areas in which members of the New York Field Office were awarded today. Special Agent Keith D. Kelly was awarded for his Excellence in Investigation and particularly for his work and leadership on Ponzi schemes. Acting Assistant Special Agent in Charge Austin P. Berglas; Supervisory Special Agent Christopher K. Stangl; Special Agent Albert Murray III; Computer Scientist Thomas Kiernan; Intelligence Analyst Erin Robinson; and Support Services Technician (SST) Ramonita I. Roman were all awarded for Outstanding Cyber Investigation for their work in dismantling a well-organized cyber crime ring. Also receiving awards in the same category were three Assistant United States Attorneys—Thomas G. A. Brown, Sarah Y. Lai, and Joseph P. Facciponti—from New York’s Southern District.
Receiving a Director’s Award for Outstanding Service to Disabled Employees or by a Disabled Employee was SST Roseann Stockman for her contributions in bringing new ideas that assisted persons with disabilities. President of Clear Channel Outdoor, Harry Coghlan, also received a prestigious Director’s Award for his partnership with the New York Field Office in donating digital billboard space in Times Square to help apprehend wanted fugitives.
“We are particularly proud of these individuals who have demonstrated remarkable leadership and a great example for everyone not only in our field office but also in our community” said Assistant Director in Charge Janice K. Fedarcyk. “I congratulate each of them personally for their dedication and exemplary service to our country.”
