FBI Seeks Fugitive Wanted for Conspiracy to Commit Bank and Wire Fraud

FBI New York June 15, 2010

The FBI is seeking to identify the whereabouts of fugitive John Edos Star and arrest him. Star, arraigned on an initial charge of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and wire fraud, later jumped bail. A federal warrant for his arrest was issued in April of this year and he has since been charged with failure to appear.

John Edos Star (aka “John Star”,“John Edos” and “Evbigie Edos”) is 39 years old, (DOB 05/02/1971), 6’5” tall, 220 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair, NCIC# W480331941. Star was born in Benin City, Nigeria and also has ties to Canada and Switzerland. He speaks English, Yiddish, and German and may speak other languages in addition to those listed here.

"He’s trying to run and hide, but with his picture featured in the media, on an FBI wanted poster, on a digital billboard in Times Square, and on the web, somebody will certainly recognize him and come forward,” said Special Agent Richard Kolko.
