Distressed Homeowners Public Service Announcement
Tim DeKay of TV Series "White Collar" makes a public service announcement about homeowner fraud
Video Transcript
Hi, I’m Tim DeKay. I play FBI Special Agent Peter Burke on the TV series “White Collar.”
Fraud schemes that target Americans desperate to modify loans and avoid mortgage foreclosures have reached unprecedented levels. Last year, con artists swindled thousands of homeowners out of millions of dollars.
Don’t be a victim. Do your homework before paying advance fees to anyone. Remember, if it looks to good to be true it probably is.
