The FBI joins the nation in observing National Police Week from May 10-16, 2009. On this page, we will bring you—in words, photos, and videos—selected highlights of events related to the observance. Check back for coverage of additional activities.

5/13/09 - An overflowing crowd of families, friends, and co-workers of slain officers lit candles in their memory. 5/12/09 - Law enforcement officers rode for miles to pay tribute to their fallen comrades.

5/12/09 - FBI Agent Sam Hicks’ name was etched into the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
