  1. Boston: Federal Jury Convicts James ‘Whitey’ Bulger

    Following a two-month long trial, a federal jury convicted Bulger, holding him responsible for the murders of 11 people, as well as numerous counts of extortion, money laundering, drug dealing, and firearms possession. Full Story

  2. Phoenix: Former Tucson Businessman Convicted of Possessing 24 Explosive Devices

    Todd Russell Fries is already serving a sentence of 151 months after being convicted last year of unlawful possession and use of a chemical weapon and providing false information to the FBI. Full Story

  3. New York: Iranian National Sentenced for Conspiring to Export Satellite Technology from the United States to Iran

    Seyed Amin Ghorashi Sarvestani received 30 months in prison for conspiring to export goods, including satellite technology and hardware, from the United States to Iran, in violation the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. Full Story

    The former Illinois congressman received 30 months in prison for conspiring to defraud his re-election campaigns of about $750,000 in funds that he used to pay for personal items and expenses. Full Story
