FBI Statement on the Report of the Commission on the Intelligence Capabilities of the U.S. Regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction

The FBI appreciates the work of the WMD Commission, particularly its focus on our intelligence program. The commission's thorough review will be extremely valuable in our continuing efforts to strengthen our program.

We are pleased that the commission recognized that we have made progress, and we agree with its judgment that we have more work to do. We look forward to working with the Department of Justice and other appropriate authorities to consider the commission's conclusions and recommendations.
