Mollie Halpern: The FBI needs your help tracking down a woman who murdered her newborn girl immediately after giving birth. I’m Mollie Halpern of the Bureau, and this is Wanted by the FBI. Shadia Mahamed Muse was 18 years old when she delivered her baby in the shower of her parent’s Columbus, Ohio apartment in 2004. Case agent Kristin Cadieux says Muse hid her pregnancy from her parents…

Kristin Cadieux: The baby was delivered live, and she wrapped it in a blanket, put it into a plastic bag, and then she put the baby in the trunk of a car a family member.

Halpern: Complaining of stomach cramps, Muse then went to a hospital where she delivered a full-term placenta. To the doctors, she denied giving birth—but later confessed to police where they could find the baby girl.

Cadieux: An autopsy did reveal the cause of death was asphyxiation.

Halpern: Muse, who would now be 26, is originally from Somalia and has ties to Canada.

Cadieux: I have concerns about the rest of her life, if there are any other children involved...so we need to know where she is, because there is no statute of limitation on murder.
