Mollie Halpern: The FBI is seeking information in what is the largest property crime case in history.

I’m Mollie Halpern of the Bureau, and this is Wanted by the FBI. Thirteen pieces of art were stolen from Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum 23 years ago this month. Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Boston Division Richard DesLauriers says investigators are making significant progress…

Richard DesLauriers: The FBI, when it comes to significant crimes, we’re going investigate it, we’re going to be persistent and diligent in our efforts.

Halpern: The stolen artwork includes pieces by artists such as Rembrandt, Degas, and Manet. The artwork is valued at more than $500 million, but as case agent Geoff Kelly and the museum’s Director of Security Anthony Amore say…

Geoff Kelly: In addition to the monetary value, it’s a significant piece of our cultural heritage.

Anthony Amore: It’s impractical to put a price tag on something like that. It’s much more important than money could ever express.

Halpern: The museum is offering a $5 million reward for information that leads directly to the recovery of the artwork in good condition. Report tips to 1-800-CALL-FBI.
