Three Plead Guilty to Conspiracy to Commit an Armed Bank Robbery

NEW ORLEANS, LA—COREY RICHARDSON, age 36, DORIYAH JORDAN, age 21, and VINCENT BEVERLY, age 21, all of New Orleans, Louisiana, pled guilty yesterday before U.S. District Judge Carl J. Barbier to one count of conspiracy to commit an armed bank robbery. In addition, RICHARDSON pled guilty to one count of armed bank robbery.

According to court documents, on May 4, 2010, all of the defendants admitted that, along with co-defendant Errol Harris, they conspired to commit bank robbery of the Capital One Bank located in the 2400 block of Highway 18 in Edgard, Louisiana. RICHARDSON further admitted that he and co-defendant Harris entered the bank armed and robbed the federally insured bank of approximately $21,649.00 in U.S. currency.

RICHARDSON, JORDAN, and BEVERLY face a possible maximum sentence of five years’ imprisonment, a fine of $250,000.00 and three years of supervised release following any term of imprisonment for the conspiracy charge. Additionally, RICHARDSON faces a possible maximum term of 25 years’ imprisonment, a fine of $250,000.00 and five years of supervised release following any term of imprisonment for the armed bank robbery charge. Co-defendant Harris is scheduled for trial on March 21, 2011.

The case was investigated jointly by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant United States Elizabeth Privitera.
