Houston Man Charged with Bank Theft

DONALD RAY DAVIS, age 33, of Houston, Texas, was charged today in a one count bill of information with bank theft, announced U.S. Attorney Jim Letten.
According to the bill of information, DAVIS stole approximately $4,534.00 from the New Orleans Firemen’s Federal Credit Union between August 29, 2005 and September 6, 2006.
DAVIS faces a maximum term of imprisonment of ten (10) years, a fine of $250,000, and three (3) years of supervised release following any term of imprisonment.
U.S. Attorney Letten reiterated that the bill of information is merely a charge and that the guilt of the defendant must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
The case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney G. Dall Kammer.
