FBI and NOPD Seek Public’s Assistance in Identifying Bank Robber

David W. Welker, Special Agent in Charge of the New Orleans Division of the FBI, and Warren Riley, NOPD Superintendent, announce today’s robbery of the Fidelity Homestead Bank located at 1201 S. Carrollton Ave, New Orleans.

At approximately 10:00 am today, one black male, armed with a silver handgun, approached a teller and demanded money. The robber was described as approximately 5’8”-5’10”, with a medium build, wearing a black short-sleeved t-shirt, a dark red wig and a white baseball cap. The robber fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen running northbound on S. Carrollton Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 504-816-3000. The Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association (MOBSA) is offering a reward of up to $5,000. for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
