ABDUL RAHMAN KHAN, age 55, a resident of Arabi and Baton Rouge, Louisiana was sentenced yesterday in federal court by U. S. District Judge Ivan L. R. Lemelle to five (5) years probation for harboring five illegal aliens on property he owned in St. Bernard Parish, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten. Additionally, Judge Lemelle ordered the defendant to pay $13,000 fine and recommended that the defendant perform 150 hours of community service.

According to court documents, between December 15, 2006, and July 25, 2008, KHAN permitted five aliens to stay on his land in a trailer at 7501 W.
