Robbery of TD Bank Branch in Newark

The FBI is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the subject who robbed the TD Bank branch located at 1180 Raymond Boulevard in Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday, August 11, 2012.

At approximately 2:35 p.m., the subject entered the branch and approached a teller window. The subject brandished what victims described as a long gun. The long gun was wrapped in dark plastic. The subject dropped an undisclosed amount of money as he exited the bank.

The subject is described as a black male, at least 6’0” tall, in his 30s or 40s, slim to medium build. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball hat, dark shirt, and dark pants.

Anyone with information about this bank robbery is urged to contact the FBI at 973-792-3000.

Citizens are reminded they should never attempt to apprehend a fugitive and in an emergency should call 911.
