New Jersey Man Charged with Manufacturing Child Pornography

CAMDEN, NJ—Brian Killion appeared in federal court today to face a criminal complaint charging him with manufacturing child pornography, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.

Killion, 38, of Absecon, N.J., was arrested on July 14, 2010, by the New Jersey State Police as a result of joint investigation by the FBI, New Jersey State Police, and Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office. The federal complaint, filed earlier this month, is the result of additional investigation pursuant to that arrest. Killion is currently being held on the state charges.

According to the complaint filed in Camden federal court:

The federal charges were prompted by the execution of a state search warrant at Killion’s residence in July 2010. A child, identified in court documents as “W.J.,” came forward following the search to provide information to law enforcement.

Computers seized from Killion’s residence revealed images of child pornography, including images of child pornography involving W.J.

The count with which Killion is charged carries a minimum mandatory term of 15 years in prison and a maximum potential penalty of 30 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Killion also will be required to register as a sex offender if convicted.

U.S. Attorney Fishman credited special agents of the FBI under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Michael B. Ward, as well as the New Jersey State Police and Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, with the investigation.
