FBI Looking for Possible Serial Bank Robber

NEWARK, NJ—Acting Special Agent In Charge Kevin Cruise announced today that the FBI is looking for a suspect in a bank robbery that occurred in Red Bank today, but who may be tied to two other robberies.   

The bank robberies occurred as follows:

January 11, 2010 at approximately 1:30 p.m.
Wachovia Bank, 303 Broad Street, Red Bank, NJ
The subject is described as a white male with a medium build, in his 20’s, with brown facial hair, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses. The subject used a demand note. No weapons were displayed and no one was injured.

January 8, 2010 at approximately 5:50 p.m.
Bank of America, 74 Highway 35 & Navesink Road, Red Bank, NJ
The subject is described as a white male with a medium build, age 20 to 27, with a scruffy dark beard, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark glasses. The subject used a demand note. No weapons were displayed and no one was injured.

January 4, 2010 at approximately 3:03 p.m.
TD Bank, 175, Wycoff Road, Eatontown, NJ
The subject is described as possibly Hispanic male with a medium build, in his 20’s, about 6 feet tall, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, a ball cap, and sunglasses. The subject used a demand note. No weapons were displayed and no one was injured.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the robberies is encouraged to contact the FBI at 973-792-3000. Citizens should not attempt to apprehend this suspect or any fugitive on their own. In an emergency, citizens should call 911. The FBI provides rewards for information leading to the successful capture and prosecution of its fugitives.
