On January 22, 2013, at approximately 9:00 a.m., special agents from the FBI, along with local agents from the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigations (DCI), arrested Nathan Michael Reisetter, date of birth September 11, 1974, of White, South Dakota, in connection with a bank robbery which occurred at First Bank & Trust in Toronto, South Dakota, on January 2, 2013.

Reisetter was arrested at his place of employment in Brookings, South Dakota. Reisetter was arrested and taken into custody by law enforcement officials without incident.

FBI Special Agent in Charge, J. Christopher Warrener stated that “the arrest was the culmination of joint law enforcement efforts between the South Dakota DCI and the FBI.” The FBI and local authorities are looking into other, unsolved bank robberies for which Reisetter may be responsible.
