Oglala Man Pleads Guilty to Sexual Abuse

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that Richard Two Bulls, age 50, of Oglala, appeared before U.S. District Judge Jeffrey L. Viken on October 22, 2012 and pled guilty to one count of an indictment that charged him with sexual abuse of a minor. The maximum penalty upon conviction is 15 years’ imprisonment and/or a $250,000 fine.

Between April 2009 and April 2010, at Oglala, Two Bulls engaged in a sexual act with a female under the age of 16. The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric Kelderman.

A presentence investigation was ordered, and a sentencing date was set for January 25, 2013. The defendant was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal pending sentencing.
