United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that two men charged with bank burglary were sentenced on August 4, 2011, by U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange. The defendants were indicted by a federal grand jury on January 11, 2011. Kalup McGhee pled guilty on April 18, 2011, and Kelly McGhee pled guilty on May 2, 2011.

This case was investigated by the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, the Jerauld County Sheriff’s Department, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Crow Creek and Lower Brule Agencies, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric Kelderman prosecuted the case.

Both defendants were immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshals.
