Mission Man Sentenced in Sexual Abuse Case

PIERRE, SD—U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Mission man charged with sexual abuse of a minor was sentenced on March 1, 2011, by U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange. Justin Henry Black Moon, age 21, was sentenced to 18 months in custody and five years of supervised release.
Black Moon was indicted for two counts of sexual abuse of a minor by a federal grand jury in August 2010. Black Moon pled guilty to count two of the indictment on December 8, 2010. The charge stems from the sexual abuse of a minor in Mission in January 2010.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Rosebud Law Enforcement Services. Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric Kelderman prosecuted the case.
Black Moon is being allowed to self-surrender to the U.S. Marshal on March 8, 2011.
