  • Chief Division Counsel Kyle A. Loven (763) 569-8540

On February 28, 2011, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the TCF Bank Scenic Hills branch located at 1988 Suburban Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota, was robbed by a lone masked man. The robber came into the bank lobby and displayed a black handgun while ordering everyone in the bank to lie down on the floor. He pointed his gun at the floor to reinforce him demand. He approached a teller and demanded all his money. He was provided with some money, but the robber demanded more from the teller. The teller complied with his demand. The robber then announced that he would come back and shoot people if he heard any sirens or alarms. The robber then fled the bank on foot. No vehicle was observed.

None of the customers or employees sustained any physical injuries. The robber is described as an Asian male, about 5’7” tall and having a slight build. He wore black pants, a black hooded jacket, a black mask, and white gloves and shoes. The FBI believes the robber may also be responsible for the robbery of the TCF Bank branch at 1503 West Robert in West St. Paul on January 3, 2011.
