Armored Car Robbery

Ralph S. Boelter, Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis FBI office, today announces the FBI is investigating the robbery of a Dunbar armored car which occurred at approximately 5:40 a.m. at Super America, 950 Lexington Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota.

A lone, black male, armed with a handgun, approached a Dunbar armored car guard while the guard was transferring cash at Super America. The robber demanded the guard’s weapon and also demanded cash. After obtaining both the guard’s weapon and the cash, the robber left the store and departed the scene in a black SUV.

The robber was described as a black male in his 30s; approximately 6’ to 6’2” tall, with a medium build. The robber was wearing a black stocking cap, dark pants, and a black jacket.

Anyone with information concerning this investigation is asked to contact the FBI at 612/376-3200.

The charges in a federal criminal complaint are merely an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent until they are proven guilty.
