Porcupine Man Sentenced for Sexual Contact with Young Girl

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Porcupine man charged with abusive sexual contact of a child was sentenced on October 12, 2010, by Chief U.S. District Judge Karen E. Schreier. Ralph Charles Bear Killer, age 59, was sentenced to 72 months of imprisonment, 20 years of supervised release, and a $100 victim assessment. Bear Killer was indicted by a federal grand jury on March 16, 2010. In June and December 2005, Bear Killer engaged in sexual contact with a girl under the age of 12 while she was in his home. He pled guilty to the offense on July 16, 2010. This case was investigated by the FBI. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark A. Vargo prosecuted the case. Bear Killer was immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshal.
