Fort Rice Man Pleads Guilty to Bar Burglary

BISMARCK—United States Attorney Timothy Q. Purdon announced that on September 2, 2010, Jeremy D. Will, 23, of Fort Rice, North Dakota, pleaded guilty before United States District Court Judge Patrick A. Conmy to a charge of burglary. On May 19, 2010, around 4:30 a.m., Will entered the T Bar 3 near Cannon Ball, North Dakota, by prying open the entry door with crow bars. Will stole liquor, a television, money and other items from inside the building.

The charge of burglary carries a statutory maximum penalty of five years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Bureau of Indian Affairs - Standing Rock Agency.

Sentencing for Will has been scheduled for November 18, 2010, in United States District Court in Bismarck, North Dakota, at 10:00 a.m.

Assistant United States Attorney Rick Volk is prosecuting the case.
