Wells Fargo Bank Robbery in Champlin

On August 4, 2010, at approximately 6:55 a.m., the Wells Fargo Bank located at 11966 Business Park Boulevard, Champlin, Minnesota was robbed by two masked men. The robbery occurred as bank employees were opening the bank for business. The two robbers, armed with handguns, led bank employees to the vault and tied them up. The robbers demanded money and were provided with cash. The robbers left through the bank’s back door and were last seen fleeing the area on foot to the south.

One robber is described as a black male, approximately 5’8” tall with a heavy build, wearing dark clothing and a dark mask. The other robber is described as a black male, approximately 5’8” tall with a slim build, wearing dark clothing and a dark mask.

Ralph S. Boelter, Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis office of the FBI, requests that anyone with information regarding this bank robbery contact the Minneapolis FBI at 612-376-3200, the Champlin Police Department, or Crime Stoppers. A reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the bank robbers.
